Erlin Barnard is a Teaching Professor and Pedagogy Coordinator for Less-Commonly Taught Languages at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She specializes in language pedagogy, materials development, and second language acquisition. Her role involves supervising instructors of less commonly taught languages and overseeing pedagogy development.
Education: Ph.D., Leeds Metropolitan University (Second Language Acquisition); MA, University of Hawai’i at Manoa (Second Language Studies).
Her research focuses on professionalizing instruction in less commonly taught languages, aligning with U.S. Department of Education priorities.
