Erkki Heinonen is a Professor of Clinical Psychology at the University of Oslo since 2023, with prior roles as an Associate Professor (2019–2023) and Post-Doctoral Researcher at York University (2017–2019). His research focuses on psychotherapy processes, mechanisms, and outcomes, particularly examining patient-, therapist-, and relationship-related factors across psychodynamic, solution-focused, emotion-focused, and cognitive-behavioral therapies.
