Erin Waggoner

Dr. Erin Waggoner is a Lecturer in the Department of Communication Studies at Longwood University. She holds a PhD in Communication Studies from the University of Connecticut and transitioned from her prior role as an English professor in Kentucky. Her teaching focuses on courses such as Media in Society, Public Speaking, and Digital Editing. She is co-developing a new Perspectives course in Civitae titled 'LGBTQ Community in Media,' which examines sociological, economic, and governmental impacts of LGBTQ representation.
