Erin Stevenson

Erin Stevenson, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor and BSW Program Director at Eastern Kentucky University. She holds a Ph.D. and M.S.W. from the University of Kentucky and a B.A. from Centre College.

Her research focuses on the academic success of first-generation college students, strengths of LGBTQIA+ communities, addiction recovery, adolescent mental health, and social work pedagogy.

Recent publications examine LGBTQIA+ youth stigma in rural vs. urban areas, social capital in first-generation college enrollment, and restorative justice programs for at-risk youth. Her work spans interdisciplinary fields including social work, public health, and education policy.
