Erin Myers is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Western Carolina University's College of Education and Allied Professions. She earned her PhD in Experimental Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi and has been teaching at WCU since 2010.
Her research examines interpersonal consequences of high self-esteem, gender dynamics in political contexts, backlash effects against women, and sexual assault prevention strategies. She integrates perspectives from social neuroscience and evolutionary psychology to study gendered behavior patterns.
