Erin Murphy is a Professor of Bacteriology and Chair of Biomedical Sciences at Ohio University, within the Russ College of Engineering and Technology. She holds a PhD in Microbiology from SUNY Buffalo and a BS in Biology from SUNY Geneseo. Her expertise includes bacteriology, infectious disease, gene regulation, RNA thermometers, Shigella, Staphylococcus aureus, and small RNA biology.
