Erin Mosely is Assistant Professor specializing in modern East and Central African history at the University of Maryland. Her research examines post-genocide memory politics in Rwanda, with emphasis on truth, justice, and reconciliation processes.
Current book project 'The Future of Rwanda's Past' analyzes the impact of the 1994 genocide on Rwandan historiography and archival practices. Fieldwork includes 27 months of research in Rwanda (2011-2018) supported by Fulbright and Mellon/ACLS fellowships.
Human rights advocacy includes volunteer work with the Genocide Archive of Rwanda and contributions to the Mau Mau reparations case against the British government.
