Dr. Erika Moore is the Rhines Rising Star Assistant Professor in Materials Science & Engineering at the University of Florida. Her research focuses on leveraging immune cells to enhance tissue regeneration through biomaterial design and in vitro models.
- Education: Ph.D. Biomedical Engineering (Duke University, 2018); B.S. Biomedical Engineering (Johns Hopkins University, 2013)
- Postdoctoral Experience: Provost’s Post-Doctoral Fellow & Visiting Professor at Johns Hopkins (2018–2020)
Research Interests: Immune cell-material interactions, vascularized tissue engineering, B cell response profiling, and clinical biomaterial development. Her work bridges immunology and materials science to address challenges in regenerative medicine.
