Erick Rostand Gankam Tambo

Dr. Erick Rostand Gankam Tambo is an Associate Academic Officer at the United Nations University Institute for Environment and Human Security (UNU-EHS), where he leads e-learning initiatives and manages knowledge dissemination systems. He is also a Lecturer at the WASCAL Graduate School (University of Gambia) and a Guest Lecturer at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at FernUniversität in Hagen, Germany. His work focuses on educational technologies, ICT4D, and leveraging diaspora networks for development in Africa.

Education: PhD in Computer Science (FernUniversität Hagen, Germany), Master's in Computer Science (Technical University of Dortmund, Germany).

Research interests include endogenous technologies for developing countries, e-learning strategies for African universities, and North-South knowledge transfer. He collaborates with organizations like IBM and SAP on projects such as e-Government systems in Afghanistan and payment components for educational platforms.
