Erica Thomas

Erica Thomas is the Public Health Lead and Lead for Written Assessments on the MBChB program at the Three Counties Medical School, University of Worcester. She joined in 2023 to develop public health curricula and strategize written assessments for medical students. Her expertise lies in health improvement, focusing on psychological, social, and environmental determinants of health behaviors like eating and physical activity, and designing evidence-based interventions for population-level change.

• Qualifications: PhD in Health Psychology (2012), BSc Psychology (2007), and postgraduate certificates in research methods and higher education.

Her teaching spans health communication, research methods, and public health domains such as healthcare services delivery. She actively supervises postgraduate research on topics including maternal healthcare, mental health communication, and barriers to physical education in schools.
