Erica R.H. Fuchs is the Kavčić-Moura Professor in the Department of Engineering and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), directing the Critical Technology Initiative (CTI). She holds courtesy faculty positions in Materials Science and Engineering and the Heinz College. Her research focuses on emerging technology development, commercialization, and global manufacturing, with emphasis on national policy implications. Fuchs leads interdisciplinary efforts at CTI to advance critical technology assessment frameworks, ensuring smart investments and policies for national security and economic competitiveness.
