Erica O'Brien

Erica O'Brien is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of Mississippi's College of Liberal Arts. She holds a PhD in Psychology from North Carolina State University (2019). Her research examines psychological factors influencing health behaviors in aging populations, utilizing wearable technology and real-time data collection to study self-concept, attitudes about aging, and daily activity patterns.

Her work aims to develop interventions promoting healthy aging through improved self-awareness and behavior modification. Current projects focus on the interplay between subjective aging experiences and physical activity in naturalistic settings.
