Eric S. Murphy

Eric S. Murphy is a Professor and Director of the Department of Psychology at the University of Alaska Anchorage. He holds a Ph.D. (2003), M.S. (2000), and B.A. (1998) from Washington State University and the University of Alaska Anchorage respectively. His roles include Director of the Office of Undergraduate Research & Scholarship and Treasurer of the Alaska Association for Behavior Analysis. He co-founded Cogniceutic Solutions LLC as Chief Technology Officer. His research focuses on behavior analysis and behavioral neuroscience, particularly operant conditioning, habituation mechanisms, and ethanol consumption in animal models.

Dr. Murphy teaches courses in Learning and Cognition, Behavioral Neuroscience, and Medical Information Analysis. His service contributions include program coordination for the Association for Behavior Analysis International and membership on the Institutional Animal Care & Use Committee.
