Eric Raile

Eric Raile is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at Montana State University, affiliated with the College of Letters & Science. He serves as Co-Director of Montana INBRE's Data Science Core and Director of Social Data Collection and Analysis Services.

Education:

• Ph.D. in Political Science, Michigan State University (2008)

His research focuses on development issues, particularly improved governance, public policy, and climate-smart agriculture in Sub-Saharan Africa and the U.S. Recent work explores risk communication and narrative-based policy strategies.

Key publications span environmental policy, food systems, and governance, with funding from NSF, NIH, and Rutgers University. He received the Rising Star in Research award in 2018 and Outstanding Teaching Award in 2022.
