Eric Person

Dr. Eric Person is a Professor of Forensic and Analytical Chemistry and Honors Program Coordinator at Fresno State's Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. He specializes in chemical education research, curriculum development for inquiry-based labs, and forensic science. His collaborations include an award-winning partnership with the Agricultural and Priority Pollutants Laboratory (APPL) for student training in environmental analysis.

Education:

• M.B.A. in Technology Management, University of Phoenix
• Ph.D. in Biophysics, University of California, San Francisco

Research & Teaching: Dr. Person focuses on laboratory pedagogy, forensic chemistry (fire debris/drug analysis), and STEM education initiatives. He leads the Chemistry Honors Program and co-developed the CSM First Year Experience (BOND program). His work includes symposiums for undergraduate research presentation and partnerships with crime laboratories.
