Eric Nyberg is a Professor at the Language Technologies Institute, part of the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. He has been actively involved in education and curriculum development, co-directing the institute.

Nyberg is renowned for his work in automatic text translation, information retrieval, and question answering systems, particularly as an original developer on IBM's Watson project.
