Eric Miklin is an Associate Professor of Austrian Politics in Comparative European Perspective at the Department of Political Science and Sociology, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Salzburg. He earned his Doctorate in 2008 from the University of Vienna and previously held positions as a scholarship recipient/junior researcher (2004–2008) at the Institute for Advanced Studies Vienna and as a Postdoc Fellow (2008–2010) at Free University Amsterdam.
His research focuses on the comparative analysis of EU-related policy processes in Austria and other member states, particularly examining the role of national parliaments and parties in European decision-making. He contributes to research projects like "Reconstituting Democracy in Europe" (www.reconproject.eu) and engages in research-based teaching at the University of Salzburg.
