Eric Lager

Dr. Eric Lager is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of History at The Citadel. He specializes in Antebellum America, South Carolina history, and the Civil War. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee and has taught courses in U.S. Military History and American History. His research includes work on the South Carolina home front during the Civil War. Dr. Lager has been recognized with the Milton Klein Fellowship and has presented at academic conferences. His interests also extend to public history, having worked as a historical interpreter and park ranger.
