His research focuses on extrasolar planets, particularly in binary star systems, and astrobiology. Jensen works with NASA's TESS mission and collaborates on exoplanet observations using the LCO telescope network.
Research Focus: Planet formation in binary systems, habitable zone dynamics, and protoplanetary disk misalignment. Notable work includes ALMA observations of HK Tau revealing misaligned protoplanetary disks affecting planetary orbits.
Teaching: Developed paperless grading workflow using iPads, teaches courses including Climate Change, Introduction to Astronomy, Astrophysics, and Observational Astronomy techniques.
Public Engagement: Regular commentator on WHYY's Radio Times and KYW Newsradio, discussing astronomical events including Juno spacecraft mission, TRAPPIST-1 system, and James Webb Space Telescope findings.
