About
Eric Carlson is Associate Professor of Studio Art specializing in ceramics, metalcraft, and sculpture. His practice explores the human body as historical archive through figurative ceramics and social commentary through fiber arts.
Creative research includes two major bodies of work: narrative ceramic installations examining corporeal storytelling, and textile-based pieces addressing violence awareness. Proceeds support abuse victim shelters.
Exhibitions include national venues like the Tallahassee International (2013) and Sculpture Magazine features (2007). Teaching integrates technical craftsmanship with conceptual development across multiple media.
