Eric Browning

Dr. Eric Browning is an Assistant Professor of Counseling and Director of Counseling and Wellness at Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU), serving since 2005. He previously held roles as an Adjunct Instructor at MVNU (2001–2005) and a Home-based Therapist at Moundbuilders Guidance Center (1998–2004). He is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (PCC-S) with supervisor designation since 2001.

Education: Ph.D. in Psychology from Walden University (2011), M.A. in Clinical Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary (1998), and B.A. in Communications from MVNU (1990).

Research focuses on youth mental health, oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), and clinical counseling methodologies. His presentations address behavioral disorders in youth and therapeutic strategies. Professional affiliations include the American Association of Christian Counselors and the American Psychological Association.
