Eric B Roon

Eric B Roon is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Michigan State University (MSU) and a Fixed-Term Research Associate. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Arizona (2024) under Prof. Robert Sims. His research focuses on the intersection of quantum spin systems, operator algebras, and probability, particularly analyzing structural properties of ergodic matrix product states. He is supported by the Zuckerman STEM Leadership Program (2025-2026), conducting joint research with Prof. Jeffrey Schenker at MSU and Prof. Adam Dor-On at the University of Haifa.
