Professor Erhard Hinrichs serves as Full Professor for General and Computational Linguistics at the University of Tübingen's Department of Linguistics (Seminar für Sprachwissenschaft), a position he has held since 1991. He also holds a concurrent appointment as Senior Researcher at the Leibniz Institut für Deutsche Sprache in Mannheim since 2019.
His academic background includes a Ph.D. in Linguistics from The Ohio State University (1985), where he previously served as Visiting Professor from 1997-2016.
