Enrico Boccaleri is a full-time Professor at the Department of Sustainable Development and Ecological Transition within the University of Eastern Piedmont. He teaches courses such as Material Chemistry, General Chemistry, and applied material science topics at the Vercelli and Novara campuses.
His research focuses on:
- Synthesis of nanostructured layered materials (clays, hydrotalcites) via hydrothermal and mechanochemical methods
- Functionalization of carbon nanostructures (graphene, nanotubes, fullerenes)
- Development of organosiliceous systems (POSS) for polymer nanocomposites
- Advanced characterization techniques combining X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, and NMR for cementitious materials
- Environmental degradation studies and sustainable additives for construction materials
He is actively involved in teaching polymer chemistry, materials science, and general chemistry to undergraduate students, with affiliations across multiple departments including Sciences and Technological Innovation, Health Sciences, and Sustainable Development.
Office: Studio n. 19, Complesso San Giuseppe, Vercelli. Reception is by appointment via email.
