Enamul Hoque

Dr. Enamul Hoque is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Population and Global Health, The University of Western Australia. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor at Bournemouth University (UK) and has held positions at icddr,b, the University of Queensland, Melbourne University, and Sydney University. His roles include teaching health economics courses (e.g., PUBH3307, PUBH5752) and coordinating units on health systems.

Education: PhD in Public Health Economics (University of Queensland, 2016), MPH (University of Queensland, 2005), MSc in Health Economics (University of Dhaka, 1999).

Research focuses on health economics, economic evaluation of healthcare interventions, maternal and child health, and public health policy. Recent projects include cost-effectiveness analyses of maternal health interventions, telehealth for stroke patients, and fiscal policies for NCD prevention. He has led grants from NHMRC/GACD, WHO/UNICEF, and the World Bank.

Key contributions include systematic reviews on Bangladesh’s healthcare economics and maternal mortality consequences. He is on the editorial boards of Plos One and Frontiers in Public Health, and has authored over 30 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters.
