Emmy Maurilus

Emmy Maurilus, Ph.D., BCBA-D, CABAS® Master Teacher, is an Assistant Professor and Assistant Chair at the Abraham S. Fischler College of Education and School of Criminal Justice, Nova Southeastern University. Her expertise spans educational and clinical behavior analysis, focusing on improving socially significant behaviors in children.

Research Interests: Dr. Maurilus specializes in clinical and teacher training, Teaching as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Verbal Behavior Development Theory, conditioned reinforcement, and the Accelerated Independent Learner® model. Her current work emphasizes applying behavior analysis to education and preparing students for careers in ABA.

Advising and Training: She has mentored graduate students, provided training sessions to public school teachers and behavior analysts, and conducted research in ABA across educational, clinical, and in-home settings.
