Emmanuelle Arpin is an Associate Professor at the Department of Health Management, Evaluation, and Policy (DGEPS) within the School of Public Health at Université de Montréal. She is affiliated with the CIUSSS Nord-de-l’île-de-Montréal Research Center and the CIRANO interuniversity research center. Her research focuses on healthcare inequities, particularly access to excluded services and pediatric populations, using econometric methods and population data. She holds a PhD in Health Services Research from the University of Toronto’s Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation.
Education: BSc in Sociology (McGill, 2014), MSc in Sociology (Université de Montréal, 2016), PhD in Health Administration (University of Toronto, 2022). She has held postdoctoral training at McGill University’s Department of Equity, Ethics, and Policy.
Research highlights include examining long-term impacts of childhood chronic conditions, analyzing provincial healthcare expenditures, and investigating social determinants of health. She leads projects funded by the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQS), including studies on pediatric healthcare access and health system equity. Her work has been published in journals like Economics and Human Biology, SSM-Population Health, and the Canadian Journal of Public Health.
She mentors students in public health and related fields, and serves on doctoral committees. Key affiliations include the International Network for Research on Inequalities in Child Health (INRICH).
