Emmanuel Affum Osei is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychology, University of Limerick, Ireland. He holds a PhD in Psychology from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, an MSc in Management Science from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, and a BSc in Psychology from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. Prior to his current role, he served as a Lecturer at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and a Research Fellow at the Chinese University of Hong Kong's Applied Social Research Laboratory.
His research focuses on career development, job search behavior, entrepreneurship, self-regulation, cross-cultural research, social identity, system justification, and upward mobility. He has published in top-tier journals and presented globally, contributing to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to education and economic growth. His work emphasizes equipping youth with effective job search strategies and addressing inequality through entrepreneurial opportunities.
Dr. Osei has secured research grants as a co-investigator and consults for external organizations. His awards include the Chinese Government Scholarship and UESTC Academic Achievement Award. He teaches courses on psychology, organizational behavior, and social identity, integrating theoretical and practical insights into his pedagogy.
