Emma Noble is a Senior Lecturer in Social Psychology at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol), joining in January 2025. Previously, she served as an Associate Lecturer at the University of Worcester and as a Further Education/Higher Education (FE/HE) lecturer in institutions across England and Wales, teaching sociology, criminology, psychology, and health and social care.
Her research focuses on gender, sexualities, gender-based violence, and education, with a particular emphasis on understanding tech-facilitated relationship abuse among young people in Further Education (FE). She employs qualitative research methods, including discourse analysis and thematic analysis, to explore how young people and FE staff conceptualize and respond to these issues.
Emma is affiliated with the Social Sciences Research Group and the Psychological Sciences Research Group. Her work bridges academic and applied contexts, aiming to improve educational practices and support systems for addressing online relationship abuse.
