Emma Harley

Emma Harley, M.A., is a Term Instructor in Communication Studies & Modern Languages at Southeast Missouri State University. She earned her bachelor’s degree in communication studies with a focus on rhetoric and public speaking and her master’s degree in English from the same institution. She previously served as an undergraduate tutor and graduate assistant at SEMO's Center for Writing Excellence.

Research interests: Emma’s work centers on communication studies, rhetoric, public speaking, and English language and literature. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes student ownership of learning and proactive engagement with resources.
