Emma Cole

Dr. Emma Cole is a Senior Lecturer in Drama and Director of the Research Centre in Creative Arts and Human Flourishing at the University of Queensland. A dramaturg and theatre scholar, her expertise lies in the reception of Greek tragedy within immersive, postdramatic, and experimental theatre.

Research Interests: Her work bridges classical translation, immersive performance, and creative industries collaboration. Current projects include a Bloomsbury book on immersion and translations of Euripides’ final trilogy.

Supervision: Available for PhD supervision in race, translation, and Greek tragedy. She has supervised projects on autism aesthetics, queer family drama, and posthuman sonic interaction.
