Emma Buckingham is an Assistant Professor of Classical Archaeology at the University of Missouri's College of Arts and Science, specializing in the archaeology of early Italy and Archaic Sicily. Her research examines identity development through material culture in contexts of Greek colonization and indigenous interaction.
Education includes a PhD from UNC Chapel Hill (2019), an MA from UNC (2012), and a BA from Haverford College (2010). Buckingham has excavated at Morgantina, Azoria, Corinth, and the Athenian Agora.
