Emily Stoakes

Dr. Emily Stoakes is a Researcher at the University of Cambridge's Department of Veterinary Medicine, affiliated with the interdisciplinary Cambridge Global Food Security research centre. She works under Dr. Andrew Grant's supervision, focusing on infectious diseases impacting food systems. She holds a PhD in Medical Science from the University of Warwick.

Her research investigates survival mechanisms and pathogenesis of foodborne pathogens, particularly Campylobacter – a leading cause of food poisoning. This work bridges microbiology, public health, and food security, addressing critical challenges in global food safety.
