Emily Ruth Rutter is an Associate Professor of English and Associate Dean of the Honors College at Ball State University, with affiliate roles in Women's, Gender, and African American Studies. Her research interrogates race, gender, and media through literary and cultural analysis, focusing on counterstories to dominant narratives.
