Professor Emily Rousham is a Professor of Global Public Health at Loughborough University, leading the School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences as Director for Research and Innovation Income Generation. She holds a BA (Hons) and PhD from the University of Cambridge, with doctoral research focused on Bangladesh under the MRC and Department of Biological Anthropology. Prior to Loughborough, she served as a Lecturer at the University of Western Australia. Her expertise spans global health challenges, including malnutrition, antimicrobial resistance, food security, and urban health interventions in low-resource settings.
Emily’s research portfolio includes studies on anemia prevention in Peru, antibiotic resistance dynamics in Bangladesh, and double-duty actions to combat malnutrition.
