Dr Emily Rosenich is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Neuropsychology at Monash University's Turner Institute for Brain and Mental Health within the School of Psychological Sciences. Her research focuses on vascular, lifestyle, and genetic contributors to cognitive decline and dementia, particularly the synergistic effects of vascular risk factors and APOE E4 carriage. She leads the NHMRC-funded BetterBrains trial, an online intervention targeting middle-aged adults with a family history of dementia. She holds a PhD from the University of South Australia (2020), where her work on cognitive reserve and stroke recovery earned international recognition.

Her research interests span cognitive/vascular disorders, modifiable/non-modifiable risk factors for neurodegenerative diseases, psychometrics, statistical modeling, and digital interventions. She actively promotes science communication through community outreach initiatives, including dementia literacy campaigns and mentoring programs for young women in neuroscience. Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to quality education and good health.
Key achievements include the Alzheimer’s Association Research Fellowship (2023), International Neuropsychological Society Award (2022), and Turner Institute’s Excellence in Community Outreach Award (2022). She is a Fellow of the Turner Institute ECR Committee since 2021.
Rosenich has published extensively on dementia prevention, BDNF genetics, and cognitive biomarkers, with 15 peer-reviewed articles since 2019. Current projects focus on tau biomarkers, modifiable risk factor frameworks, and digital intervention scalability in dementia prevention.
