Dr. Emily RW Davidson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), serving as Chief of Urogynecology and Medical Director of Specialty Digital Care. She joined MCW in August 2019 after completing a fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic.
Her education includes a Bachelor’s in Biology from Indiana University (2008), a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine (2012), and residency training at the University of North Carolina (2012–2016). She is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Davidson’s clinical practice focuses on pelvic floor disorders, offering advanced treatments like robotic surgery and sacral neuromodulation. Her research prioritizes patient-centered outcomes, including disparities in healthcare access and surgical outcomes. Notable achievements include a $10,000 AAGL grant for a randomized trial on post-surgical opioid prescriptions and multiple teaching awards. She also serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynecology.
Her research portfolio addresses racial disparities in treatments for fecal incontinence, disparities in sterilization methods, and primary care pathways for urinary incontinence. Current funding includes a NIH grant (2025–2030) exploring muscle function in fecal continence.
Dr. Davidson sees patients at the WISH Program clinic in Froedtert Specialty Clinics. Colleagues and patients praise her compassionate care, meticulous explanations, and innovative approaches to complex cases.
