Emily Pluhar is an Assistant Professor of Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. She currently serves as Director of the Sports Medicine Behavioral Health Team and Attending Psychologist in the Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Department at Boston Children’s Hospital.
- Education: PhD from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology
- Training: Pediatric and Clinical Psychology Internship and Fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center
Research Interests focus on mental health issues related to sports injuries, adolescent health, non-suicidal self-injury, and suicidal behavior. Her clinical work addresses anxiety, depression, trauma from athletic injuries, chronic medical illness, and comorbid conditions.
