Emily Lauer, PhD, MPH is an Associate Professor at UMass Chan Medical School in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health. She serves as Associate Director of the Eunice Kennedy Shriver Center and Director of the University Center of Excellence on Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD). Dr. Lauer's research focuses on health services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Her extensive research portfolio examines healthcare utilization patterns, health disparities, and service access for vulnerable populations. Recent publications analyze Medicaid data to characterize disability populations, emergency department usage trends, and innovative educational interventions in medical curricula.
