Emily Hare

Dr. Emily Hare is an Associate Professor of Biology in the Department of Biology at Huntingdon College, affiliated with the College of Arts and Sciences. She holds a Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine and is a licensed Naturopathic Physician in Washington state, actively contributing to academic and clinical education.

Dr. Hare's research and professional interests span integrative and natural medicine, with a strong focus on clinical applications in women’s health, pediatrics, gastroenterology, and family medicine. Her expertise extends to homeopathy, botanicals, physical medicine, hydrotherapy, and minor surgery, reflecting a holistic approach to healthcare and biological sciences.

She is a licensed Naturopathic Physician (WA state, lic# NT60432253) and has passed all levels of the NPLEX board exams in Basic Sciences, Clinical Sciences, and Minor Surgery. Her teaching experience includes roles at South University and Jefferson State Community College prior to joining Huntingdon College.

Dr. Hare founded and practiced at Southern Roots Wellness in Shelby County, Alabama, bringing real-world clinical experience into her academic role. She is actively engaged in health promotion and wellness education, contributing to curriculum development and student mentorship in biological and health sciences.
