Emily Fletcher is an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at the University of Western Australia (UWA) Medical School, affiliated with the UWA Centre for Child Health Research and The Kids Research Institute Australia. Her research focuses on glioblastoma, ion channel biology, and targeted therapies for cancer. Key interests include drug repurposing for brain cancer and understanding ion channel roles in tumor growth and invasion.
Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to good health and well-being. Recent grants include repurposing ion channel drugs for brain cancer therapy (2022–2024) and a multiphoton microscope acquisition (2022).
