Emily Allen is a full Professor in the Department of English at Purdue University's College of Liberal Arts. She is affiliated with Purdue's Comparative Literature and Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies programs.

- Isaac Walton Killam Postdoctoral Fellow at Dalhousie University
Specializing in nineteenth-century British literature and Victorian novels, Allen's research explores textual form, interdisciplinary pedagogy, and gender studies. She co-founded the North American Victorian Studies Association (NAVSA) and leads Purdue's Blue Sky Teaching and Learning Laboratory.
