Emilie Esterzon is a Substitute Lecturer in the Department of Business Economics, Marketing and Market Research at the Universitat de les Illes Balears (UIB), where she has also served as a Visiting Professor since 2022. She holds an M.Sc. in Management from Solvay Business School (2004) and a Doctorate in Economics and Management from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (2022).
Research Interests:
Her research centers on consumer behavior and communication, with a particular focus on donations to NGOs. She explores how strategic communication can enhance donor agency and improve charitable giving outcomes. Her work bridges marketing, behavioral economics, and social impact.
Her recent publication in the Journal of Marketing reflects her interdisciplinary approach, combining insights from psychology, marketing strategy, and data-driven consumer analysis.
Teaching:
She teaches undergraduate and master's level courses including Tourism Marketing I, Final Degree Project in Tourism, Accounting for Customer Knowledge, and Human Resources Management across multiple UIB programs in Majorca and Minorca.
Research Group:
She is a member of the Decision Science (DSL) Consolidated R+D+I Group at UIB.
