Emerson Luís Velozo

Emerson Luís Velozo is a Professor in the Physical Education Department at Middle West State University (UNICENTRO), Paraná, Brazil. He contributes to the Physical Education undergraduate program and postgraduate programs in Education (PPGE) and Comunitary Development (PPGIDC). His academic journey includes a Doctorate from Campinas State University (UNICAMP), a Master's in Physical Education from UNICAMP, and a Bachelor's in Physical Education from Ponta Grossa State University (UEPG).

His research focuses on the social, anthropological, and epistemological dimensions of body education and practices. He has held significant leadership roles, including coordinating the Epistemology Thematic Working Group at the Brazilian College of Sports Sciences (CBCE) (2011–2013), leading the Postgraduate Program in Education (PPGE/UNICENTRO) (2013–2015), and heading the Physical Education Department (DEDUF/I/UNICENTRO) (2021–2022). Currently, he leads the Research Group in Education, Culture, and Contemporaneity.
