Emeline Deneuve is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Accounting at HEC Montréal. She holds memberships in prominent accounting associations, including the American Accounting Association (AAA), Association francophone de comptabilité (AFC), Canadian Academic Accounting Association (CAAA), and European Accounting Association (EAA). Her research focuses on auditing, financial accounting, and textual analysis, with recent work exploring critical audit matters, audit risks, and audit quality. She teaches courses in financial accounting and has been recognized for her scholarly contributions, including the 2023 AAA Best Reviewer Award and the 2022 CAAA Best Presentation Award. She holds dual PhDs in Management Sciences (CY Cergy Paris Université) and Business Administration (ESSEC Business School), alongside advanced degrees in corporate finance and international business.
Her educational background includes a PhD from CY Cergy Paris Université and ESSEC Business School, an Advanced MS in Business Administration Research from ESSEC, an MSc in Corporate Finance and Banking from EDHEC, and a BSc in International Business from NEOMA Business School.
