Dr. Emad M. Hassan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering at Missouri S&T. He also serves as a research investigator at both the Center for Infrastructure Engineering Studies (CIES) and the Center for Intelligent Infrastructure (CII). Prior to his academic career, he worked as a structural design engineer in Cairo, Egypt (2012-2015) and later as a research scientist at Colorado State University before joining Missouri S&T.

Key themes include resilience of healthcare and education networks, underwater repair of steel structures using fiber-reinforced polymers, and multi-hazard modeling for compound events like earthquakes and pandemics.
