Dr. Elspeth Hutton is a Research Fellow in the Department of Neurosciences at Monash University. She serves as Head of the Headache and Neuromuscular Services at Alfred Health, co-director of Post Graduate Neurology Training, and Head of the Peripheral Neuropathy, Pain and Headache Group. Her expertise spans neurology, headache disorders, neuropathic pain, and peripheral nerve diseases. She holds a PhD from University College London and a MBBS from the University of Tasmania.
Dr. Hutton’s research focuses on immune modulation in chronic pain, neurophysiological measures of small fiber function, and clinical trials for headache and neuropathic pain therapies. She has led projects like the Australian Headache Epidemiology Data (AHEAD) pilot study and investigations into CGRP monoclonal antibodies’ effects on bone health and immune profiles.
