Elsa Mari Almås is an Emeritus Professor at the University of Agder, affiliated with the Faculty of Health and Sport Sciences. She holds a Cand. Psychol. from the University of Bergen (1981) and is a Specialist in Clinical Psychology (1988) and Clinical Sexology (2002). Her career includes private practice since 1988 and academic roles as Associate Professor (2001–2012) and Full Professor in Sexology (2012–present). She co-founded the sexology education programs at the University of Agder with Esben Esther Pirelli Benestad.
