Elliott Miller

Elliott Miller is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Yale School of Medicine. He serves as the Medical Director of the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) at Yale New Haven Hospital and as Firm Chief of the Coronary Intensive Care Unit within Internal Medicine.

Dr. Miller's research focuses on the intersection of critical care and cardiovascular medicine. His primary interests include the impact of respiratory failure in patients with cardiovascular disease and the organizational structure and delivery of care in modern cardiac intensive care units. His scholarly work bridges clinical practice with systems-level improvements in cardiac critical care.

Dr. Miller's recent publications demonstrate a strong focus on cardiogenic shock, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, and critical care cardiology. His research examines prognostic markers, treatment strategies, and outcomes in patients with complex cardiac conditions requiring intensive care. He has contributed significantly to understanding respiratory failure in cardiovascular disease and optimal support strategies for patients with cardiogenic shock.
