Elliott Maltby

Elliott Maltby serves as the Interim Academic Director of the Landscape Architecture Program and an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Graduate Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Urban Design department, School of Architecture, Pratt Institute. Her work bridges landscape architecture, urban ecology, and community-centered design to address environmental sustainability and social justice.

Maltby explores hidden ecologies, plant-human narratives, and inclusive urban public spaces, emphasizing collaborative design practices that integrate environmental resilience with diversity and equity. She co-founded thread collective, a multidisciplinary studio interrogating intersections of art, architecture, and landscape, and contributes to Inclusive Ecologies at Pratt, which links feminist theory to climate crisis responses. Her collaborations span scientists, dancers, and artists like Mary Miss, including roles in the interdisciplinary Lab for Art, Nature, and Dance.
